Dear Parents and Families, Willis Unified School School District asks parents and families of the District to complete the Education Benefit Form. The California Department of Education (CDE) uses the Education Benefit Form to calculate supplemental funding for our schools which is built into the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). Supplemental funding in the LCAP is used to improve and enhance services to your student, including but not limited to: Student Chromebooks, Tutoring, Advanced Placement Test Fees, additional Counseling services, Career Technical Education programs, and other programs designed to assist students in becoming College Ready and Career Prepared. It is extremely important that you complete this form online at https://willitsunified.rocketscanapps.com/ Every eligible form that is not submitted means lost resources for our students. All information provided is completely confidential and will not be shared or used for any other purpose. Thank you!!
Hello families, Reminder: Willits Unified School District is in session tomorrow, March 17th, 2023.
WUSD Families, Please join our Health Advisory Committee Meeting that takes place every 3rd Wednesday, 3:30pm-4:30pm at the District Office Conference Room. Attend this meeting to help update the WUSD Wellness policy. This is your opportunity to implement or update healthier practices (physical activity, healthy eating, cultural activities, mental health, etc.) for our youth through the school's wellness policy.
Hello WUSD Families, We will be on a regular schedule this morning at all schools. Please continue to be safe and we thank you for your patience these past few weeks. Thank you, Superintendent Beebe
Good Morning WUSD Families, We will be on a 2 hour delay again for today, March 8th, due to road conditions in some of our areas. Please be safe on your way to school and communicate with the school site if you have difficulty coming in due to this continued weather. If bus routes need to be adjusted, we will communicate that as soon as possible. Thank you, Superintendent Beebe
Hello WUSD Families, Our bus routes will be adjusted this morning to provide student pick up beginning at the Golf Course at the following times: Bus 5 at 8:58am, Bus 11 at 9:08am, Bus 8 at 9:00am, and Bus 9 at 8:54am. Here is the link to the routes: https://willitsunifiedca.sites.thrillshare.com/o/WUSD/page/transportation Thank you, Superintendent Beebe
Hello WUSD Families, We will be on a two hour delay this morning. Road conditions in some of our areas are not safe. We are on a minimum day schedule at many of our sites. We will send out additional communication regarding our bus routes in Brooktrails if needed. As always thank you for your understanding and flexibility. Thank you, Superintendent Beebe
Hello WUSD Families, I want to express to everyone that I apologize that my decision today caused our families, students and staff stress during the 2 or so hours of a snow storm. For the most part, the forecast on the previous days and the information we receive has been mostly correct. Today that information did not play out the way it was forecast, to say the least, and certainly caught us by surprise. Please know that the safety of our students, staff, and families is always at the forefront of my and our decisions. I am thankful that the snow stopped, that it became warmer, and the rain came out to help melt some of the snow. We are expecting another flurry of snow in the early morning hours, so we will try again tomorrow. I can not thank you enough for your patience and understanding during these unusual, I am told, weather events for our area. I hope that all of you are safe. Please reach out to us if you need any assistance, Superintendent Beebe
Hello WUSD Families, We understand that the weather has shifted quite dramatically on us in the past few hours. The forecast calls for the snow to cease shortly and then for it to warm up the rest of the afternoon and possible and hopefully rain. We will evaluate the weather situation early this afternoon. We will be in communication if we make changes to our release schedule. Thank you, Superintendent Beebe
Good Morning WUSD Families, All Willits Unified schools are on a regular schedule today, March 6th, except for Sherwood, which will be on a two hour delay. Our buses will be running their regular routes and picking up students at regular times. Thank you for your patience and support. Thank you, Superintendent Beebe
Good Morning WUSD Families, We are pleased to announce that we are on a regular schedule except for Sherwood School which will remain closed. All bus routes and stops will be operating normally. We appreciate your support and understanding during these past days of inclement weather. Enjoy your day. Thank you, Superintendent Beebe
Hello WUSD Families, I wanted to reach out and humbly say Thank You for all of your patience and understanding as we navigate this weather and its impact on our district and our services. With that being said, we are expecting another very cold evening into the morning. Icy conditions are likely, so we will again evaluate the road conditions in the morning and send out all calls and text messages and post on Facebook as soon as possible. We attempt to make these decisions as early as possible for you so that you are able to plan accordingly. Thank you again and we appreciate your patience, Superintendent Beebe
Due to road conditions in Brooktrails, the buses will only be going to the golf course stop. The buses will wait at the stop until 9am. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
From our District Office... "Good Morning Willits Families, We will be on a two hour delayed start this morning, March 1st. Sherwood school will remain CLOSED today. Road conditions have become unsafe due to ice due to very low temperatures overnight. Please drive safely. Thank you, Willits Unified School District 1277 Blosser Lane, Willits CA 95490 Tel: 707-459-5314 Ext. 1101"
Good Morning Willits Families, We will be on a two hour delayed start this morning, March 1st. Sherwood school will remain CLOSED today. Road conditions have become unsafe due to ice due to very low temperatures overnight. Please drive safely.
Good Morning WUSD Families, I hope that many of you are safe and well. I have decided that all WUSD schools will be CLOSED today. Although the weather is better, there are multiple factors to consider as our area is so diverse. Some areas are safe to drive while others are not. Our buses will not be able to drive to certain parts of our district due to unsafe road conditions. Many of our areas have lost power and roads still have not been cleared. As I have been consistent regarding the safety of all of our families, students and staff, I want to ensure that I am consistent. We are still under a severe storm warning. Today is the last day of this storm, hopefully and we will be back in session tomorrow.
Good Evening WUSD families, I want to thank all of our families for your support, understanding, and flexibility during these past few days. The forecast is very similar for tonight and tomorrow morning. I want to give our families the ability to plan ahead a bit rather than receiving two separate messages in the morning. Tomorrow, Tuesday the 28th, we will begin the day on a two hour delay schedule. If road conditions are safe, we will send out our buses and hopefully come to school. Thank you, Superintendent Beebe
Hello WUSD Parents, The weather conditions have dramatically worsened in the past hour. Road conditions have become unsafe and we will not be able to send our buses out for transportation. In the best interests of safety for all in our community we will need to CLOSE school for today. Please stay safe, Superintendent Beebe
Hello WUSD Parents, We will be on a two hour delay schedule this morning, February 27th, due to the weather. Except for Sherwood School which will be CLOSED today.
Good Evening WUSD Families, Currently we are scheduled to be on a regular schedule tomorrow. We will evaluate very early in the morning and make decisions accordingly if that changes. We understand that these situations are frustrating when information and messaging changes from hour to hour; however there are many variables that go into these decisions that we must navigate. I appreciate and am thankful for your flexibility and understanding. Thank you, Superintendent Beebe
