The Academic Talent Search Program out of Sonoma State University provides workshops throughout the year teaching skills for college readiness. This workshop was teaching the benefits of organization and planning ahead, and their effect on grades, and time management to increase productivity. Moises Gonzalez, the BGMS Outreach Advisor for ATS, provides engaging activities and opportunities for students in the program to learn these skills in different venues throughout the year. ATS is recruiting students into the program during the month of February. He will be speaking with students on February 5th, and is providing a parent information night on February 18th, at 5:30 pm. This is a perfect opportunity for students to be involved with an organization that will support middle school students through their middle and high school years, to ensure their success in college.
